Having enjoyed a 30 year policing career, primarily as an investigator working on a diverse range of criminal investigations, I joined the PSA in 2013 shortly after its inception.I have a strong understanding of the ISPS Code and the expectations placed on facilities by the Department of Transport (Maritime).

I bring to the role a range of policing and security experience spanning 35 years, having worked with three police forces in a range of challenging investigation roles, my more recent experience has been within the maritime sector working throughout the Ports of Liverpool and the Manchester Ship Canal. I completed my PFSO course in 2012 and at the inception of the Liverpool and Manchester Port Security Authority I was taken on as an Auditor.

I joined the Port Security Authority in March 2018 after a military career within the Royal Marines. I bring to the role a range of maritime and security experience, having worked in a range of challenging roles both at home and overseas. My role as a security and compliance officer sees my employment throughout the Ports of Liverpool and the Manchester Ship Canal.

I have worked within the port environment for more than twenty years within various administration roles. I completed my PFSO course in 2020 and now organise all PSA led training courses and work closely with member facilities to ensure training and facility compliance.
